Bradley House (formerly Bradley Bar Nursery) is a well-established nursery school conveniently located in Bradley, Huddersfield, close to Fixby and Brighouse. Set in detached premises in a leafy residential area with easy access from Bradley Road.
One of the longest established nursery settings in Huddersfield, it has been providing quality care and education for children since 1990.
The nursery has a friendly welcoming atmosphere with large, spacious rooms with plenty of natural light. The rear of the nursey has a large terrace that opens allowing children free-flow access to the peaceful surroundings for babies, and preschool access to the mature garden and green spaces.
Our mixed-age toddler and preschool room follows Montessori classroom principles where children of different ages become role models and mentors and younger students feel inspired and supported by them. This mirrors a natural family environment with siblings or a community setting. Both the toddler and preschool aged children also have access to separate rooms for further learning specific to their age range, along with a focus room for phonics and maths, a designated role play area and a Science Kitchen for Cooking Club and STEM activities.
At Bradley House Nursey your child will play outside every day allowing them to discover and appreciate the wonders of nature and experience the changing seasons. Our Forest School approach to outdoor learning means using the natural resources found in our garden and all indoor and outdoor areas have high quality play resources for your child to enjoy and learn with, many of which are made from sustainable natural materials.
From making mud pies in the mud kitchen and playing with the water stream and the climbing apparatus, to discovering the natural world by planting vegetables in our growing area and flowers in our garden, your child will be guided and nurtured on their learning journey.
Our experienced, dedicated staff team and your child’s key person will always keep you informed and involved with your child’s learning and development with daily updates via our Parent App and in person.
We offer many opportunities for you and your family to become part of our nursery community through regular stay and play session, volunteering, charity events and parents’ evenings.

Our daughter has been attending Bradley House Nursery since July 2023 when she was 9 months old. I cannot recommend this Nursery enough. Our daughter always goes in with a smile on her face and leaves with an even bigger smile. The staff have been amazing in helping her settle in and have made the process so easy for us as first time parents. Her development has come on leaps and bounds since attending and the activities and meals are always excellent and fun. You can tell the staff love their jobs and the children as they make everyday so much fun and keep the parents up to date with the goings on in their children's lives. I cannot thank and recommend this Nursery enough!
