Fairfield Nursery is a well-loved nursery with an outstanding local reputation. It can be found in the village of Shelf, the perfect location for local families or those commuting parents travelling between Halifax and Bradford.
A homely nursery where your child will have the freedom to learn and play in a nurturing environment. We deliver our curriculum through play-based experiences designed to encourage every child to explore and thrive through rich imaginative play.
The nursery rooms are light and spacious and are excitingly resourced to stimulate and inspire all children at every age of development. Our dedicated Early Years Educators will guide and support your child to reach their full potential.
Our play areas offer free-flow access into our garden where you will find vegetable patches, mud kitchens, dens and our story telling circle. We have designated play areas for all age groups, enabling each child to develop at their own pace.
Our in-house qualified Nursery Chef prepares home cooked meals, bursting with fresh fruit and vegetables and all the essential ingredients necessary for healthy physical and mental development. Whenever possible we source our food locally and organically, and use the herbs and vegetables grown in our gardens.
We encourage all our parents to become actively involved in your child’s learning, sharing special moments from home via the ParentZone App, and becoming part of our community.
