The Rosemary Murphy Foundation
The Rosemary Murphy Foundation in memory of Portland Nurseries’ founder Rosemary Murphy who was awarded an OBE for her contribution to Early Years Education through her role as CEO of the charity 'National Day Nurseries Association'.
Rosemary fought to ensure the early years sector was an important part of the national debate and that the government sufficiently supported families and addressed inequalities.
When Rosemary passed away in 2018, her children and Co-Managing Directors Anastasia and Michael decided to honour her memory by offering support to families in need with access to childcare, by providing free or heavily discounted places at their nurseries.
