Harlequin is a small, homely nursery where your child will have the freedom to play and learn in a happy, nurturing, safe environment.
The open plan play areas are excitingly resourced and the days are planned to meet the needs of each individual child with our dedicated nursery team supporting your child to reach their full potential.
Our mixed-age toddler and preschool room follows Montessori classroom principles where children of different ages become role models and mentors and younger students feel inspired and supported by them. This mirrors a natural family environment with siblings or a community setting.
Nursery rooms open directly onto the gardens allowing free-flow access to the outdoors and to the nursery woodland. Your child will be able to grow vegetables, plant bee friendly flowers, play in the mud kitchen and sandpit, explore the woodland and wildlife, observe and investigate nature in our very own bird watching den. We take a Forest School approach to our outdoor learning and children can be found playing outside in all weathers.
We work closely with parents to support children’s learning and there is always the opportunity to become actively involved in nursery events. The Stay and Play sessions are very popular and a great way for parents and grandparents to enjoy the activities that the children love and become part of the Harlequin community.
Harlequin nursery has received 3 consecutive Ofsted Outstanding ratings.
