Holi Celebrations!

The children at Bradley House had a vibrant start to spring as they celebrated Holi, the festival of colours, with a range of creative and playful activities.

The celebration was designed to let the children explore colour, light, and art in hands-on ways. The children joyfully engaged in water play with coloured powders, discovering how colours mix and swirl, sparking curiosity and laughter. In the art room, the children tried their hands at painting, experimenting with brushes, fingers, and unconventional techniques to bring their colourful ideas to life. A particularly enchanting activity was creating stained glass windows. Using transparent materials and bright pigments, the children crafted their own miniature windows and then observed how sunlight filtered through, creating dazzling patterns of colour. Many children were fascinated by the way the light transformed their creations, turning their artworks into glowing masterpieces.

The festival provided more than just fun—it encouraged creativity, sensory exploration, and teamwork. Staff at Bradley House noted that the children’s enthusiasm for mixing colours and observing their effects highlighted both their imagination and growing understanding of science through play. The Holi celebration ended with smiles, colourful hands, and a sense of wonder, leaving a lasting impression of joy and learning for all the children at Bradley House.
