Today at Bradley House the babies had fun celebrating National Book Lovers Day by experiencing the joy and wonder of books. We all got involved in a story themed day taking part in lots of engaging activities based around our favourite stories and rhymes. ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ the children explored as a group taking turns to feed our very hungry puppet passing the play food to one another while babbling away and learning new words. We also read ‘Calma lama’ as this is currently one of our favourite stories in the baby room (a very popular choice at group times) it's a brilliant little book that helps the younger children in the nursery explore their feelings and emotions. The children listened to the story with interest and loved watching themselves pull various facial expressions in the mirror.
