In September the Oakwood House Preschool children were visited by Craig from Zoo Lab.
The children sat outside watching and listening as Craig showed us many different creatures such as the snail who had one foot and ate a variety things like cucumber but was very shy as he stayed in his shell.
We were also introduced to Milton the millipede who is 30cm long and has 300 legs! Summer the snake was from North Africa, a constrictor with no ears or eyelids but could move around her environment on her tummy and could feel vibrations using that to stay safe against other predators.
The children had the option to touch or stroke the creatures that came around and many did. The children were calm and enjoyed Shadow the rat the most!
