The bunting was out at Harlequin in celebration of Yorkshire Day. The children enjoyed the best of British making a good old cup of Yorkshire tea. The children used gross and fine motor skills using a variety of metal jugs and tea pots to tip and pour and scoop. We observed the colour changes to the water as the tea infused it. The babies enjoyed tea bag painting splurging the soggy tea bags on the paper to make an array of marks.
The older children enjoyed a spot of afternoon tea in the home corner we made our own café orders which were taken by Nina the waitress.
At tea time the children enjoyed their very own taste of Yorkshire with homemade Yorkshire pudding and lentil shepherd’s pie and gravy.
