World Braille Day

For World Braille Day the Oakwood House preschool looked at the alphabet in Braille. The children were very excited when they identified the first letter of their name .

In the baby room we have been using all of our senses to explore the sensory books, not just our sight. Using our hands to touch the different materials and our ears to listen to the different sounds the materials made when touched. The babies demonstrated their understanding by pointing to our noses, ears and even our teeth when they were mentioned in the story books and had lots of fun sharing this experience together with our friends!
