Bee Day… Today Harlequin have been busy little bees! To celebrate World Bee Day we created our own bees by first foraging in the garden, using leaves for the wings and stingers.
We learnt about how bees pollinate and role played as bees in a hive we made from hexagonal crates, collecting natural resources to take back to the hive to make honey.
The children noticed the stripey pattern of the bee's body and recreated their own repeating bee pattern painting outside on a large scale. The children even enjoyed on a bee in the forest.
