Holly Bank children had fun celebrating Wimbledon Tennis Day in the nursery!
The children had the opportunity to explore tennis rackets and balls and were shown how to hit the balls using the rackets. They then had a go themselves, developing their hand-eye coordination, concentration and physical skills as they experimented with hitting the balls.
Our babies also showed some fantastic problem-solving skills. Rather than simply hitting the ball, some discovered their own ways to use the rackets, including carefully balancing a ball on top! It was wonderful to see them exploring, experimenting and finding different ways to use the equipment.
We also enjoyed a lovely alfresco picnic lunch to continue our Wimbledon celebrations! The children enjoyed delicious sandwiches, fresh strawberries and cream while sitting outside and enjoying the sunshine.
