The Wimbledon Championships, commonly called Wimbledon, is a tennis tournament organised by the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in collaboration with the Lawn Tennis Association held annually in Wimbledon, London.
The babies at Holly Bank have been getting in the “Wimbledon spirit” by practicing their tennis skills using the bats and balls outdoors. This was a great activity to help develop their hand-eye coordination skills by teaching them how to balance the balls on the bats. As they did this we sang "wibble wobble jelly on a plate". The adults also showed the babies how to hit the balls by rolling them on the grass and our younger babies enjoyed grabbing the tennis balls from the tyres and rolling them down the drainpipes.
