Where Little Readers Become Big Storytellers! This week, the children at Bradley House have been celebrating National Book Lovers Day with a wonderful week full of books, stories, creativity and imagination! The children have enjoyed reading a wide range of books and taking part in lots of fun, story-based activities. We have brought some of their favourite stories to life through play and exploration — including building houses for the ‘Three Little Pigs!’
Our preschool children have taken their creativity one step further by creating their very own story. They have worked together to develop characters, ideas and a storyline, and we are hoping to turn their fantastic creation into a real Bradley House book that they can treasure and share with others. Watch this space!
It has been lovely to see the children’s imaginations come alive through stories. Books provide so many opportunities for children to develop their language, communication, creativity and understanding of the world, while most importantly encouraging a lifelong love of reading. We would also like to remind families about our little library located near the kitchen door. Parents and children are very welcome to borrow a book to enjoy at home. Simply choose a book you would like to read together and, once you have finished, please return it to the library so another family can enjoy it too. We hope our little library will encourage lots of lovely reading moments at home and help us continue to nurture a love of books and stories within our Bradley House community. Happy National Book Lovers Day!
