This month Harlequin Poppies have been exploring their interest of insects that we commonly find in our garden. Using our new explorer backpacks, the children set off on a Bug Hunt. Magnifying glasses and gloves at the ready! They found worms, spiders, ladybirds and woodlice and we talked about what they looked like and where each one may live.
The children then used their clipboards to sit and draw each insect, talking about what features they have the same and the ones they have different. Using our new bug hunt bags to go on a bug hunt. We found worms, a flying insect and an ear wig!
