Water from Tap to Woodland

The Harlequin children together built a water shoot from the tap all the way to the woodland area – after all the big trees need a drink of water too.

It started off as a single bamboo shoot, the pre school children than extended it all the way to the woodland. They worked out that the shoots needed to overlap and that water couldn’t travel uphill. Once the water eventually made it to the woodland the toddlers found objects that “whooshed” all the way to the bottom.

What an interesting wet, wonderful activity for our mixed age children.
