The pre-school children at Oakwood House love science and experimenting and have been talking lots about volcanoes recently. We decided to create our own.
We started by making a volcano out of sticks in the garden and decided to create a working model using a bottle and tissue paper making it into a mountain. We then took it outside and watched it erupt by mixing bicarbonate of soda and vinegar. The children were fascinated by this experiment and asked lots of questions about how it worked!
