The Portland House Bluebell preschool children took great delight in helping to make Yannick the chef at Portland House a Scarecrow that he purchased from one of our fundraising Scarecrow Charity packs. Yannick has named his scarecrow ‘Tickety BOO’ and he is currently residing in our outdoor mud kitchen. The children are very much enjoying showing off their amazing cooking skills and tempting him with their autumn culinary delights. Yannick has been teaching them all some more French vocabulary too.
Each of the rooms have been busy creating a scarecrow with the children for the Portland Garden, with the addition of Peppa, Daisy and Flora joining our growing Scarecrow family.
A big thank you to the parents who have recently bought the Scarecrow packs at the Stay and Play events, we would love to see photos of your crazy character creations (and their name) once you have brought them to life, please upload them to your child’s parent zone.
It’s not too late for families still wishing to purchase a scarecrow pack to join in the autumn fundraising challenge, please kindly let us know if you would like one reserving.
All proceeds are going to our nominated charity the ‘Yorkshire Children’s Centre’.
