This week at Fairfield we have been learning all about oral hygiene, understanding the importance of brushing our teeth, sharing our knowledge we already know with each other about how to eat a balanced diet, and what it is like to visit the dentist.
We encourage our parents to share their knowledge in their profession and this week we had a preschool parent attend to give the children an educational visit around oral hygiene. The children learnt how many times they should brush their teeth, they practised their brushing skills on the big teeth and explored the PPE we see the dentists wear when we go for a routine check-up. At the end of the session the children were delighted to take home an oral hygiene bag with a tooth brush and guide on how to brush their teeth and a big sticker from The Dental Team.
