We would like to say a big ‘Thank you’ to everyone who supported our charity fundraising Sunflower challenge for our nominated charity Candle lighters. The children have done an excellent job in growing some amazing beautiful Sunflowers from seed. The glorious Summer sunshine has certainly helped accelerate their growth and our budding gardeners have produced some of the most fabulous sunflowers. We have really enjoyed seeing your children’s sunflowers journeys thank you very much for sharing your photos.
On the measurement date of Friday 13th July the height measurement for tallest Sunflower recorded was 1200mm/120cm.
The winner of the Sunflower challenge prize for growing the tallest sunflower was Blake from Bluebells.
Comment from mum… "Blake has really enjoyed looking after and growing his sunflower �� ( with the help of grandma and grandad) as of Friday 13th July it stood at 1200mm tall."
Blake has also raised £40 sponsorship for Candlelighters
