Summer adventures in the Fun Club

During the school holidays the Portland House Fun Club have been keeping busy with lots of fun activities and going on trips within the community.

The children have loved going out on the buses to visit Shibden Park and Cromwell Bottom. Whilst at Shibden Park the children enjoyed exploring the beautiful gardens and playing on the giant playground.

At Cromwell Bottom we took a long walk down the canal to the nature reserve and the children enjoyed finding all the different animals and plants along the way. They even enjoyed train watching!

We took a walk to the local Thornhill Care Home where we played games with the residents for the afternoon.

Back in the nursery they have enjoyed dancing, getting creative making their own board games, taking part in science experiments and learning how to communicate using (BS)L British Sign Language.
