St George's Day

As part of our St George’s Day celebrations, the children at Bradley House enjoyed a wonderful week of imaginative learning, creativity, and storytelling. The highlight of the week was the children designing and creating their very own dragons. Using a variety of materials, they explored colours, textures, and shapes to bring their ideas to life. Each dragon was unique, sparking conversations about size, features, and even where their dragons might live. This creative activity supported not only their artistic development but also encouraged language skills as they proudly described their creations.

Our preschool children fully embraced the spirit of the celebration through role play. The classroom was transformed into a magical setting where knights and princesses came to life. The children dressed up, took on different roles, and acted out their own adventures, building confidence, cooperation, and storytelling skills along the way.

Throughout the week, the activities linked beautifully to learning opportunities across all areas of development. From expressive arts and design to communication and personal, social development, the children were engaged, curious, and excited to learn. It was a fantastic way for the children at Bradley House to celebrate St George’s Day while supporting their imagination and creativity.
