With the wonderful winter weather opportunities we have experienced over the last few weeks, Portland Daisy babies have had much fun exploring the texture and feel of the ice and snow. We added spoons and pots to their indoor snow activity and enjoyed scooping and pouring into the containers and were particularly intrigued whilst watching it melt.
We have also been talking a lot about the weather and what we can see outside. The babies have been fascinated with the moon, loving to point to it through the window as they observe it in the sky.
During circle time we have been introducing numbers and one of our favourite rhymes is ‘5 little ducks’. The Daisies take it in turns to count fingers and objects linked with the rhyme.
