The children at Portland House helped to plant our special “White Beam” tree in the main garden to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee.
We had a designated team of “Royal Gardeners” that even Alan Titchmarsh would have been proud of! The children discussed what the tree would need to grow and contributed to planting it in the ground.
We continued our planting theme throughout the day, decorating plant pots, sowing seeds and planting some red, white and blue flowers.
