Holly Bank preschool learned about Remembrance Day and what it means. We decided that rather than making individual poppies, we would use the natural resources in the garden outside and create one on a large scale. An adult drew the outline and the children collected leaves, sticks and stones to ‘colour’ in the poppy.
The children all got involved and spent lots of time collecting and creating. Afterwards, we had a huge pile of leaves, which we turned into a volcano!
