As Christmas approaches the Oakwood House babies have been exploring the colours red and green!
Today we went out into the garden to collect natural resources to use alongside our playdough, the babies enjoyed collecting the sticks and leaves! We set out the colourful dough and the leaves we collected and allowed the children to explore freely.
The children used the sticks to push holes into the dough and the leaves to squash the dough down, they demonstrated interest in the marks they were leaving and were keen to share this experience with their grown-ups, pointing at what they had done! This activity allowed the children to exercise their fine motor skills whilst navigating the resources and sparked their interest in creative play.
