Over 90 staff members from the Portland Nurseries group came together on Friday 30th November to celebrate their annual awards ceremony and dinner at the Fantastic Media Suite – John Smiths Stadium. Every year the nursery managers across the 4 settings award members of the staff team for their invaluable contribution to high quality childcare. This year’s winners are as follows;
Child Carer of the Year Award 2018 awarded to the following; Dominique Wharam (Harlequin Nursery), Alicia Simpson (Holly Bank Nursery) Shonagh Thomson (Oakwood House Nursery) Vickie Sykes (Portland House Nursery).
Rising Star Award 2018 for a member of the staff team who has shown exceptional promise, passion and enthusiasm over the year. This years award went to Olivia Dancaster of Holly Bank Nursery.
The last award of the night went to Kirsty Cooper & Hannah Dashwood of Portland House Nursery winning the Portland Nurseries Team of the Year Award 2018.

The staff team work very hard to deliver the highest standards of care for all the children and families that use our nurseries. I am immensely proud of them all”
There was also a charity prize raffle for the companies nominated charity Shabang! Raising over £500 on the night. Prizes ranging from the latest Apple iPad to a family meal at Pax Burger in Lindley.
