Following on this term with Harlequin theme of transport we were lucky enough to have a visit from West Yorkshire Police and one of their dog units.
The children met Bruce and Beau and learnt all about what it takes to be a good police dog. Bruce did a search demonstration in the forest where he was able to find items that had been hidden.
The children were able to try on a riot helmet and sound the siren in the police car. We also talked about other people in the community who help us such as fire and ambulance.
