We are delighted to announce that Harlequin have once again been awarded an ‘Outstanding’ grade by Ofsted in all categories!
We would just like to say a big congratulations and well done to all the staff who have done so well to achieve this working together as a new team. The high quality childcare and education we provide would not be possible without all their hard work and dedication. We would also like to thank you as parents for being so enthusiastic and actively involved with the nursery and your children’s learning.
The Ofsted inspector commented that “All children thrive and make rapid progress in their learning and development, in relation to their starting points.” and that “Children gain a vast array of key skills that fully supports their readiness for the move on to school.”
Ofsted further highlighted the excellent partnership with parents: ““A great strength of the nursery is their highly positive and trusting partnerships with parents. The staff are exceptionally committed to maintaining a very effective flow of information with parents. Staff actively seek parents' views and ideas. They successfully incorporate parents' observations of their children at home into activity planning.”
The Ofsted inspector commented that “All staff are warm and loving towards the children and promote high levels of positive interaction with them throughout the day.”
We are so happy to have received 'Outstanding' once again at Harlequin, and this comes just two months after Ofsted also judged Portland House Outstanding in all categories. It is wonderful for the staff teams to have all their hard work recognised and praised by Ofsted and a great way to celebrate our 25 years in childcare.
