Trips to the local library, post office and parks have been some of the ways in which the Harlequin children have been learning about their local community. These trips are vital in a child's learning as they allow them to develop a knowledge and understanding of the natural world. It also allows them to develop an awareness of safety;how to keep safe when crossing roads. The children really enjoy talking about these trips and sharing them with the others at nursery. They can also locate the places they visit on special maps of our community.
