Our First Thornhill Care Home Visit

The Pre-schoolers at Harlequin have resumed their visits to the local care home. This was a fantastic opportunity for our children to give something back to our local community. We began our visit by singing some or our Spanish songs and nursery rhymes we have learnt in nursery to the residents. We played the ‘keep yuppy’ game with a balloon and fly swatters. The residents and nursery children worked together as a team to keep the balloon from falling on to the floor. We also spoke with residents visiting both in their rooms and the care home communal areas.

We met Blanche who’s 103, that’s 100 full years older than our preschool children!
