The Harlequin toddlers took off on an adventure for National Walk Day. They put on their coats and wore the high vis bibs used by the big preschool children when they go out and set off on a walk around our local community.
The children knew to walk on the pavement holding the hand of an adult and that they must not go on to the road. The children all walked very sensibly along the pavement whilst stopping to look at lots of interesting things along the way. We saw an ambulance with flashing lights, lots of road signs and a very friendly dog.
The children were fascinated by all the different vehicles we saw and the colourful flowers which were growing in the flower beds by the side of the road. We said hello to some of our nursery neighbours who were very pleased to see us out for a walk and stopped to chat to us.
