During National Story Telling Week the children in the baby room enjoyed bringing some of their favourite books to life. Using props they helped to feed 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' this involved lots of counting and naming foods and our older children recalled their favourite parts repeating "still hungry" and guessing what was coming next. We also created a teddy bears picnic after reading 'Goldilocks and the 3 bears' and using their imagination ensured the bears ate all their porridge!
Our preschool children enjoyed exploring the forest and re-enacting the story ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ interactively as they squelched through the mud, crossed the river and ran home from the bear.
