The Harlequin babies had lots of fun during International Play Day! Parents were invited to join us and inside they played in the water; looking for, learning the names of and counting sea creatures and singing along to songs such as 'row the boat' and '1, 2, 3, 4, 5 once I caught a fish alive'
The children joined in with mark making on a large scale using different types of markers to make patterns and lines and had a picnic with the dolls in the home corner. Outdoors the babies went on a bear hunt in the forest and practiced using the bats and balls. We used fresh mint in the mud kitchen to 'cook' with and practiced climbing, clambering and balancing.
