The babies at Oakwood House Nursery enjoyed making some mud pies in the garden. They practised their gross motor skills mixing water with mud using big spoons and sticks.
They used their senses to feel the water and the soil and they had fun filling and emptying the different sized pots.
They were fascinated by the water going into smaller pots and when it went over it, they enjoyed splashing their hands on the wet ground.
We finished the outdoor session playing peek-a-boo and the babies loved hiding under the den and saying “peek-a-boo!”.
