Today the Oakwood House toddles enjoyed a relaxing yoga session. The idea of the session was to find a new way to calm down and regulate our emotions. We began by independently going to collect our own mats from the cupboard. We did a warm up session running on the spot and stretching our arms and legs.
We then completed a yoga session learning all sorts of new poses such as the “Indian post”, “bamboo tree” and “flamingo”. We listened to tranquil music throughout and moved our bodies slowly in time to the music. We ended the session by having a cool down counting from one to ten taking deep breaths in between. When we had finished we all agreed that we felt much more relaxed and our wellbeing had a fantastic boost for the day.
