The children in Oakwood House pre-school have been very busy making a beautiful bird nest.
Before the activity they talked about where birds like to live and the kinds of things they might use when making their nests. The children found a nice quiet spot to position their nest and then collected sticks to make the structure first. They added lots of other items to the nest to make it soft and cosy, such as leaves, feathers and moss. They spent at least an hour on this wonderful activity and have revisited the nest many times since adding items and checking everything is there.
