On Thursday, 20th August Portland House held a ‘Mad Hatter’s Tea Party’ in order to have fun whilst raising some money for our nominated charity, Water Aid.
The children and staff all wore mad, mismatched clothes for the day and of course their mad hats. This set the tone for the tea party later in the day. All the children and parents had a picnic tea in the garden before the fun and games started. There was a woodland scavenger hunt, cake sale, pin the tail on the white rabbit, raffle, story time in Alice’s underground warren and a craft table where lots of crazy hats were made.
The whole event was great fun and we managed to raise £155 for Water Aid.
