This week the Harlequin children have been learning about the Lunar New Year. The children in the toddler room got creative and made their own dragon! They painted the dragon red and then helped to stick on its eyes, nose and mouth. They have also had lots of fun climbing into the dragon. The toddlers have also created their own dragon sticking pictures, using red sticking bits and glue. We have talked about the importance of the Lunar New Year and the meaning behind it.
Lots of children also told us about how they eat Chinese food at home! To finish off the week, we went into the garden to hang our homemade Chinese lanterns in the trees.
