Love is in the air!

Love has been in the air at Holly Bank, and things have been getting wonderfully messy! We’ve had a delightful time celebrating Valentine's Day with lots of sensory activities, creativity, and, of course, love. Thank you to all the parents that attended our valentines Stay and Play. Here’s a look at the fun-filled week your little ones have enjoyed:

Clouds of Foam
We kicked off the week with a sensory tuff tray explosion! The children dove into a fluffy world of shaving foam and shredded paper. There were plenty of giggles as they squished the foam between their fingers, and some of the little ones even enjoyed “burying” their hands under the crinkly paper. It was a sensory hit—and definitely a messy one!

Petal Potions
Next, we moved to the water tray, which was filled with floating petals and love hearts. The children had a blast “brewing” their own friendship potions by scooping up the hearts and splashing around in the floral water. It was a beautiful way for them to practice pouring, sharing, and fine-tuning their motor skills, all while having fun in the process.

Playdough Hearts and biscuit making
To finish off our Valentine's Day fun, we got busy with playdough and making biscuits! Using heart-shaped cutters, the children rolled, squashed, and stamped out their own love-themed creations. It was a fantastic activity to help strengthen their hands while boosting their creativity and imagination.

It’s been a week of big smiles, giggles, and lots of love. Our children have had a wonderful time exploring, playing, and bonding together as they celebrated Valentine’s Day in their own unique way!
