Our nursery curriculum gives the children a range of different experiences and teaches them lots of new topics.
This week, the Harlequin toddler children explored light and dark using our light box and torches. The children looked at what happens when you shine light on reflective surfaces, different coloured cellophane and on areas of the room. Some children understood that the reflection on the wall was themselves and others were fascinated by the moving images. The torches were used as disco balls swirling around the walls and ceiling which the children were very interested in.
The younger children enjoyed making Diwali lamps and exploring colour mixing powdered paint.
