The children, parents and staff came together to celebrate Chinese New Year at Oakwood's latest Stay and Play. Everyone got the change to eat nooddles with chopsticks which they thoroughly enjoyed! They made lanterns and New Years cards and the children danced in the dragon they had made. Staff member Hayley came dressed in traditional Chinese dress and Gwynne who is from Singapore brought in a beautiful silk dragon.
Samantha Richmond, Manager explains " We have been exploring the Chinese culture in the nursery for quite some time. We were very lucky to have a visit from Chinese nursery delegates in December and this was a perfect beginning to the children's learning. This Stay and Play was a great way to pull all our knowledge and understanding together and share it with the parents"
