The Oakwood House pre-schoolers have been focusing activities around safeguarding this week.
Monday was Allergy Day. We talked about EpiPen’s , who has them and why. We then did some fruit and vegetable tastings. We chopped various fruits and vegetables tasting them then deciding which were our favourites.
Wednesday was Stranger Danger. We spoke about who is a good stranger and who we can trust. If we get lost in a shop we can ask a shop keeper for help. If we hurt ourselves we can trust a doctor or nurse or paramedic. We can also trust a policeman and a fireman, we just need to look who is wearing a uniform!
Today Friday is Road Safety Day. We created a road inside to practice our “stop, look and listen”. We then went outside and practiced in the garden which was lots of fun.
