The children at Oakwood House have been very ‘eggcited’ over the past week. With heat, love and care our eggs hatched into beautiful baby chicks. The children watched in awe and wonder as the chicks hatched from their eggs in the incubator. As they got bigger the children were able to hold them. They were all very caring, loving and nurturing towards the chicks. The children were so gentle, talking about how the chicks hatched from the egg and that they may be a little tired once they had hatched! We also spoke about taking care of them, helping to clean their home and gave them fresh food and water every day in order to help them grow.
