At Holly Bank, we are very lucky to have apple trees and blackberry bushes on site.
Our preschool children went foraging for blackberries and picked a nice ripe apple for cooking. We talked about what we could make with our fruit and decided to make a crumble. After speaking to Julie, our cook, we got a recipe and measured out our ingredients. The children mixed, rubbed, stirred and chopped the ingredients ready to put in the oven for our very own “Gruffalo crumble!”
