The Holly Bank children have been interested in ‘The Gruffalo’ story this week and so we have followed their interests with various spontaneous activities.
The one that the children enjoyed the most came from one child’s request to make a “Gruffalo crumble” which we decided to make for our morning snack. The children carefully chopped apples and pears before sprinkling on toasted oats and pouring over plain yoghurt to serve – it was delicious. As it was the children’s idea they were even more excited and engaged in what they were doing than usual!
What would you put in your Gruffalo crumble?
