On Tuesday here at Portland House, staff and parents joined together to start the season of goodwill for our 1st Festive wreath making charity event at Portland House Nursery.
Decked out for the festive season, with Christmas background music and festive aromas everyone soon got into the Christmas spirit and enjoyed getting crafty and creative to make their own wreath to take home …… especially enjoying a festive drink and a mince pie (or two!)
Using natural materials foraged from our local green spaces, there were some spectacular creations donned with pinecones, cinnamon sticks, dried fruit and not forgetting ribbons too! The wreaths will definitely be the envy of anyone’s neighbour’s and with these proud creations will certainly be some of the best dressed doors this festive season.
Everyone commented how much they had thoroughly enjoyed the event and would definitely attend another one next year. Nobody had previously made one before and had all enjoyed the opportunity to try something new and to meet new friends too!
