We have been watching the birds in the Oakwood House woodland and we decided to make some fresh bird feeders so the birds did not grow hungry in the colder weather. The children made their own orange juice the day before so we kept the half orange peels and the children filled them with bird cake to make a natural eco sustainable bird feeders for our garden birds to feast on!
Showing concern for other living creatures is a great way to help build children's empathy, to give them an understanding about the natural world we live in and how we can take care of the animals and habitats around us.
