Today the Portland House pre-school children are getting close to nature, with their bare feet the children are experiencing the texture of cold wet soil.
Here are some of the ways the children described the texture:
“oo it feels slimy”“it feels like the wet sand when I went to the beach”“It’s squidgy between my toes”
The children thoroughly enjoy exploring nature with their feet and will have the chance to revisit this activity introducing other natural materials such as, grass, wet and dry sand, leaves and water to expand their learning further.
