Harlequin recently asked parents to help in extending our loose parts play by recycling some bits from home. We shared a post on Parent Zone and asked for a selection of things such as pebbles, shells, pine cones, assorted fabrics and interesting junk items and boxes. The children enjoyed making their own farms and zoo using the variety of objects collected to build and enclose. The children enjoyed rolling items down the large cardboard tubes experimenting with cause and effect. The play opportunities were endless. Preschool enjoyed using cardboard coffee cups and set up their own coffee shop.
