The children in Portland House Poppy Room took part in Environmental Day on Wednesday 5th June. We spent the full day outside joining in with different activities such as tree rubbing collecting natural objects and making collages, den making with materials. We enjoyed having out meals and snacks outside and some of the children had a nice cozy sleep on some cushions.
At Stay and Play we had different activities for the children and parents to join in with such as sorting materials into containers of plastic, paper and metal. We played in water talking about floating and sinking. Plus we created different structures using junk modelling.
